HD DVD and Blu-Ray from 500 gigabytes and 1 Terabyte

Hard to imagine, but actually possible. Some notes technological universities such as Berlin, Budapest and Ancona, have managed to find a system that would expand up to 500 gigabytes a regular support HD DVD or Blu-Ray.
The research from a project called Microholas that studies technology micro-holographic writing, a specific type of writing that operates nanostructures on the disc, rather than on the surface as in the case of classical optical systems. This new technology therefore is able to exceed the limits set by red laser DVD and Blu media blue-ray.
The research so far has produced great results, in fact, have reached the 500 gigabytes of storage, but we think and scientists are confident that this limit can be exceeded, up to 1 TB. The target to be achieved is the creation of media for storing data long term.
